Maleonn

Ma Liang, known as Maleonn is a Shanghai-based cult photograher whose work has gained much attention due its theatrical nature. Using an extravagant mixture of actors, props and outstanding set design, Maleonn creates the world of impossible through his images. His studies in the Fine Arts College of Shanghai and his background as a graphic designer and cinematographer have built the strongest basis for his unbelieavable images, ranking him into the top rising art stars in China. His work has been awarded with the UK-based Spider Awards Black & White Photography of the Year, exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum, showcased by BBC World TV and featured in major art magazines like Vie des Arts, Descant and Zoom.
