Yayoi Kusama: Look Now, See Forever

Dots Obsession, 2009
Yayoi Kusama's famous dots are currently hosted at the Queensland Art Gallery , through a major solo exhibition titled Look Now, See Forever, featuring new works of the reknown Japanese artist. Divided in separate rooms, with sculptures, paintings, video projections and installations, the gallery transforms itself into a colourful, energetic and interactive experience for the guests. One of the highlights of the exhibition is of course, The Obliteration Room installation, an in-progress project, in which visitors completed a totally white room with a plethora of multicoloured polka-dots. Since the 1950's, Yayoi Kusama is considered one of the most influential and distinctive artists worldwide with a unique, constantly developing style, while now in her 80's she is still surprising her audiences with her new, revolutionary practices.
