Juergen Teller at Lehmann Maupin Gallery

Kristen McMenamy, Casa Mollino No.3, Turin 2011

If you are in NYC don't miss the new exciting exhibition at Lehmann Maupin Gallery, dedicated to the work of iconic photographer Juergen Teller. The reknown photographer, considered by many as the successor of Helmut Newton, was born in Erlangen, Germany in 1968 and his influential work includes international collaborations with big editions and fashion houses like W Magazine, i-D, Purple, Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang and Yves Saint Laurent and historic exhibitions in great museums like the Fondation Cartier pour l' Art Contemporain, the MoMa NY and the Tate Modern in London.

Vivienne Westwood No.3, London 2009

Lehmann Maupin Gallery highlights three recent series of Teller's most dynamic images, featuring the controversial portraits of Kristen McMenamy at the house of eccentric architect Carlo Mollino and the seductive photographs of Vivienne Westwood juxtaposed with intimate portraits of his family and close friends. The exhibition is supplemented with the "Keys to the House" series featuring landscape images and portraits.
