Atifa Rasooli F/W 2012-13 Collection

 
The quiet winter days in Copenhagen and the japanese warriors outfits were the big inspirations behind designer Atifa Rasooli's debut collection for next winter. The Danish designer used wool, cotton, jersey and silk on basic-coloured sleek and slightly androgynous silhouettes, to create one of the most inspiring collections of the new season. Simplicity in the most avant-garde way.

Christian Dada F/W 2012-13 Collection

Christian Dada label by designer Masanori Morikawa is considered by many as Japan's major fashion symbol. And i think they are right. For next season the talented designer showcased some of the season's most brilliant and inspirational outfits for both men and women, always inspired by the dark forces. In a post-punk, almost Blade Runner-ish catwalk, Morikawa unveiled for once more his technical skills, with interesting sculptural detailing and a rich selection of materials such as leather, jacquard, knit, velvet and tulle in dramatic combinations on minidresses, male wide pants and billowing capes and jackets. Gothic has never been so appealing.

Etw. Vonneguet F/W 2012-13

The Tokyo Fashion Week is in progress and among the collections i've seen so far Etw. Vonneguet by designer Olga is the most surprising. Based on streetwear lines, Olga showcased a modern, fresh and intriguing collection for men and women, with baggy and loose lines, delicious fading colours and gorgeous digital prints completed with impressive puffy jackets, long shirts, slim pants and the brilliant layering Japanese people are famous for.

Miu Miu F/W 2012-13 Collection

At the finale of Paris Fashion Week, Miu Miu gave a spectacular and refreshed collection, giving the audience a new trend that seems to be ruling next season. Miuccia Prada's androgynous figures - similar to the Prada collection - are inspired by the seventies, with oversized men's jackets over highwaisted cropped pants, matching Art Deco - inspired prints and chunky heels. The second part of the collection featured the House's signature mini dresses, all covered with huge mirrored appliques. Of course, i could not but love the theatrical psychedelic 60's-meets crazy clown make up.

Giambattista Valli F/W 2012-13 Collection

Giambattista Valli decided to go tomboy, changing his everlasting feminine designs, at least for this season. His F/W collection is more thna flirtitious: Boyish, sweat girls walked through the catwalk with the most stylish and brilliantly-designed outfits. Excellent patterns, playful graphics and balanced proportions, among bright reds, croco gold and eternal black & white, list the collection among my favourites from Paris.
